Gabriel Loop – Designed to eliminate waste

With Gabriel Loop, launched in 2023, we introduced a closed-loop system that transforms textile waste into new products – our Loop textiles that can be recycled again and again. We are continually expanding the Loop programme to include more types of textile waste and integrating the latest technologies, advancing circularity in the textile industry.

More than one way to close the Loop

The LOOP programme takes different approaches to reach a common goal: utilizing technological possibilities to create true circular solutions. By applying different recycling technologies, we can process a broader range of textile waste — in both type and proportion.

Our latest innovation, Cura Loop, is made from 100% textile waste using an advanced textile-to-textile recycling technology. Like the other Loop products, it is fully recyclable and ready to enter the loop again. The textile waste behind Cura Loop is a mix of pre-used textiles and leftover materials from manufacturing, coming from diverse sources including fashion and home textiles.

While Cura Loop utilizes advanced recycling to accommodate higher levels of textile waste, other Loop products use a more energy-efficient method where the textile waste is gathered through our unique take-back system, collecting used Gabriel fabrics from customers and our own production to transform into new ones.

Innovative Take-Back System

Our take-back system allows us to recover textile scraps and cut-offs from both our own production and our customers. We recycle this waste and transform it into new designs – our Loop textiles – through our "Textile-to-Textile" approach. This system enables us to recycle Gabriel textile waste all the way back to the fibre level, creating a unique, closed-loop recycling system entirely within our own production.

In contrast, with Cura Loop, we handle textile waste from the broader industry, recycling it to a stage prior to the fibre level. Once used, Cura Loop can also enter our take-back system and be recycled repeatedly. As they are recyclable at the end of their lifecycle, we ensure all our Loop textiles can re-enter the loop and support a more sustainable, circular system. This closed-loop process reduces the need for virgin materials.

Loop Textiles – A family of circular textiles

Currently, our Loop family consists of seven textiles, each differing in structure, texture, and colour scales: Amaze Loop, Beyond Loop, Cura Loop, Future Loop, Parcel Loop, Renewed Loop, Renewed Loop Screen.

What they all have in common is that they are built on textile-to-textile recycling and carefully crafted – either from a blend of recycled textile waste and used plastic bottles, or from 100% textile waste. All Loop textiles are highly durable, made from 100% recycled materials, and fully recyclable.

Thus, all our Loop textiles share the same mission, employing different methods: to minimise resource consumption and advance circularity across the textile industry.
