We have developed Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for the first 16 of our textiles. Our focus has been on doing the work thoroughly – using our own internal expertise and integrating the process into our broader sustainability efforts.

The result is a set of EPDs that are not only third-party verified, but also rooted in genuine insight and internal knowledge.

At Gabriel, all EPD-related data collection and calculations have been carried out in-house by our own Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Specialists – unlike the general industry practice, where this work is often outsourced. 

Gabriel also owns a large part of the production chain, which gives us direct access to consumption data from production – such as energy and water use per textile. This allows us to produce more precise LCA results and act directly on insights to optimise processes.

By taking ownership of both the data and the process, we have gained

Because our work is based on in-house knowledge, direct data access and strong internal infrastructure, we’re able to guide and assist with everything from technical understanding to practical application. Our systems enable fast and accurate access to product-specific data – such as energy and water consumption per textile.

We are expanding LCAs and EPDs across our full product portfolio – and we continue improving our methods, processes, and products along the way.
