Renewing through Reuse

Reuse is central to the project. Red and green marble salvaged from the former reception desk has been given a new purpose in the entrance reception, bar and tables throughout the building. The different marble colours help distinguish the spaces, with red marble featured in the more private areas and green marble taking centre stage in the bar. Campaspero stone, sourced locally from the Valladolid region, lime mortar walls and American walnut add further layers of natural texture. Together with acoustic ceilings and carefully considered lighting, these materials help create a calm and spacious atmosphere.

Gabriel textiles complement the architectural materials across workspaces, meeting rooms and lounge areas. Chili 61172 features on guest chairs and meeting room seating, where its subtle two-toned pattern adds texture to the interior. Just 61178 is used on task chairs, bringing a discreet, matt expression to the working environment. In the more informal spaces, Cyber adds depth and a soft, tactile quality to the seating. Cyber 2001 is used on the sofa in the President’s office, while Cyber 1701 features on the sofa in the bar area, helping create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Throughout the building, the interplay of natural stone, warm wood and textured upholstery creates a consistent material palette. The walnut partitions and joinery introduce subtle organic forms, while the renewed layout allows more light to flow through the offices.

Existing elements are integrated alongside new materials, giving the interior a distinct identity that balances the building’s history with its contemporary function.

The result is a thoughtful renovation in which material choices, spatial design and functionality work together to create a welcoming workplace.
