Structured to Stand Out

Uptown is designed with flexibility in mind. As a multi-use fabric, it works across applications; even from soft drapery and spatial zoning to upholstery and panels. Its architectural pattern and refined palette make it a confident choice for hospitality, commercial, and workplace environments where aesthetics and adaptability go hand in hand.

Designed in Collaboration with Gensler

Gabriel collaborated with Gensler, serving as Product Design Consultant for Uptown. Gensler is one of the world’s leading architecture and design firms, and their involvement brings global insight and commercial relevance to the fabric. The collaboration ensured that Uptown meets real needs in contemporary interiors, while combining bold design with practical performance for hospitality, commercial, and workspace environments.

Split the Grid, Share the Story

Uptown shares its colour palette with Downtown, but each fabric interprets those hues differently. The larger scale of Uptown highlights subtle contrasts and creates a more expansive, flowing visual impression. This shared-yet-different approach opens up cohesive and creative possibilities; allowing designers to build contrast and continuity within the same palette. Uptown stands strong on its own, and even stronger in combination with Downtown.

City Rhythms, Softened

Uptown translates the rigid logic of the urban grid into something more fluid and emotional. With a 100 mm scale, the larger pattern references city blocks softened by natural textures, particularly mossy lines, creating a tactile dialogue between architectural structure and organic calm. The result is a fabric that feels both structured and serene, offering a unique way to divide, frame, or highlight spaces.
