Savak NU

Savak NU is a continuation of Savak, one of our most proven textiles, refined through decades of knowledge. The updated colour scale consists of 22 striped colours, each also available as a uni colour, forming a complete and flexible system for interiors. The stripe pattern follows a defined repeat (2,4 m repeat, 7 (10 ½”) US repeat). Crafted from 100% wool, Savak NU combines natural durability with a softer, more controlled surface, enhancing tactility with use. Designed to perform in demanding environments, it brings together technical performance and a refined visual expression that remains relevant.

DESIGNED TO STAND OUT

A key design feature of Savak NU is the way its colours and stripe pattern work in interiors. The palette consists of 22 striped colours, each built from two tones that create an interplay, spanning from softer, more balanced tones to more vibrant expressions, enabling new ways of working with colour and creating expressions that are unique; even statement-driven.

Some colours absorb light and create calm, while others reflect it and bring more presence. Through this range, the stripe is no longer read only as a pattern, but as a proportion that adds rhythm and depth, giving Savak NU a more architectural visual language.

One colour system. Two expressions. The Savak NU colour palette can be found as matching solids in Savak NU uni.

SOFTNESS. NAME. PERFORMANCE.

Crafted from 100% wool, the yarn is developed to create a softer surface and a more controlled expression. The name reflects its origin: “Savak” derives from the Greenlandic sava (sheep), while “NU” is inspired by Nuutaaq, meaning new. In Scandinavian languages, “NU” also means now; something current, present, and relevant. With the name Savak NU, we make our approach clear: we refine what already works and bring it into the present. Nothing unnecessary added. Nothing hidden. Every adjustment in material and construction shapes how the textile interacts with light, giving it a more precise and balanced appearance. The result is a textile that performs both visually and physically, developed for real interiors where light, movement, and use continuously shape the experience, and where design needs to perform, both now and over time.

Made to Follow Form

Originally designed by Tove Kindt-Larsen in the 1960s, Savak carries an intention that still holds. You see it in the construction, in the rhythm, and in the way the textile performs in use. With Savak NU, that intention is not replaced, but refined.
